Bio
C.S. (Chaitanya Shakti) Kinnaird is a California-based writer, blogger, and freelancer. She has lived in Los Angeles, Oakland, and Badger, California. From childhood, Chaitanya had an active imagination that lent itself to writing elaborate stories. She wrote her first book at age 11. Since, she has written in the genres of mystery, young adult, literary, and historical fiction, as well as nonfiction and poetry. Her favorite genre continues to be that sword and sorcery-filled land of high fantasy fiction.
Born as a Hare Krishna (Gaudiya Vaishnava), Chaitanya has faced the challenges and joys of living in the West while adapting an Eastern culture and spirituality. This gives a certain flavor to her writing. International travel has also made her perspective unique. She "feels fortunate to have had a glimpse into so many different lives - of writers, teachers, outcasts, beggars, and saints, from all age groups and edges of the world."
Her list of publications include:
She is currently working on the second draft of a high fantasy novel. A literary novel, a poetry collection, and many short stories and winking ideas jostle for the next place in line.
